Vista Dual-Boot
Want to work in an environment you know and trust? Want to test the power and performance of the latest operating system? Now you can do both without any risk to your work flow.

Vista Dual-Boot is available with every PCAudioLabs Custom DAW.
Microsoft Windows Vista
Since it's worldwide release in January 2007, Windows Vista is enthusiastically becoming the OS of choice for music production. The performance of Windows Vista and the introduction of Microsoft's WaveRT port driver for low-latency, real-time audio I/O, put Vista compatibility at the forefront of development for professional audio hardware and software manufacturers.

Vista Compatibility
All current PCAudioLabs Custom DAW will run Windows Vista, and are optimized for improved audio performance using a similar set of tweaks that you can depend on for the best computer performance and experience.

There are a handful of professional audio programs that are already compatible with Vista, some of them being compatible with Vista™ 32- bit and 64-bit versions. Cakewalk's SONAR 6 is a prime example of one such program that's runs on both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of Vista.

SONAR 6 x64 Edition is a fully native 64-bit version of SONAR 6, the definitive audio production environment on the Windows platform.

Both Cakewalk and Microsoft had been testing SONAR with pre-release builds of Windows Vista to ensure that SONAR would run on Windows Vista when it was released.

Vista Dual-Boot
While many companies are in the process of releasing Vista versions and drivers, it’s still unclear as to when it will be safe to switch OSs permanently. To help make this process safer and easier, you can now get a Windows XP Dual-Boot system, using swappable hard drives, with Windows Vista Ultimate 32/64.

Making the Swap
Using multiple operating systems on the same PC is not uncommon. Putting them on separate hard drives is the best way to keep your software installations separate and organized.

Your preferred audio software and hardware might already be compatible with Vista, but your favorite VSTi plugin might not. In order to prepare for the future and continue to work in the present, the only cost-saving solution is the Vista Dual-Boot.
